1st International Media and Islamophobia Symposium Started Today
The 1st International Media and Islamophobia Symposium, organized under the leadership of RTÜK by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Erciyes University, TRT and SETA, started at ATO Congresium. The symposium will last for 2 days on 25-26 May.
RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin, who made the opening speech, wished that the Media and Islamophobia Symposium, which was organized for the first time internationally, would be a means of goodness and thanked all participants and guests.
The first session, where the concept of Islamophobia was discussed with examples through the media and the role of the media in the fight against Islamophobia was evaluated, moderated by SETA Society and Media Research Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Çağlar. AA General Manager Serdar Karagöz, TRT Deputy General Manager Fatih Er, Hacı Bayram University Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Zakir Avşar, Habertürk TV Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Daily Sabah Editor-in-Chief İbrahim Altay were the participants of the first session.
After the first session, RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin thanked the participants again and presented a plaque.
