RTÜK to host the 56th meeting of European Platform of Regulatory Authorities
The 56th Meeting of European Platform of Regulatory Authorities will be held in Antalya on 12-14 October 2022 hosted by Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK).
Although it was agreed that the 52nd EPRA Meeting would be hosted by RTÜK in October 2020 in order to develop friendly relations and discuss cooperation opportunities with EPRA member authorities, all EPRA meetings in 2020 and 2021 were held in video conference format due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Following the 55th EPRA Meeting hosted by the Flemish Media Authority (VRM) in Antwerp, Belgium on 12-14 May 2022, the hosting role was handed over to our Supreme Council. In this respect, the 56th EPRA Meeting will be held in Antalya on 12-14 October 2022 hosted by our Supreme Council.
Within the scope of this meeting, which is expected to be attended by regulatory authority delegations from 47 countries, academics and representatives of many international organizations, two important academic meetings (thematic sessions), titled ‘Media Regulatory Authorities in the Digital Environment’ and ‘Disinformation, Pluralism and Trust in the Media’ will be held as well as the EPRA Plenary Meeting.
The media regulatory authorities and institutions of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are also expected to attend the meeting.
