Born in 1973 in Üsküdar, Ahmet Can BUĞDAY completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and his master's degree in Political Science and International Relations.

He started his civil service career at the Prime Ministry and retired from the same institution. He worked as Security Manager, Human Resources and Support Services Manager, Risk Assessment and Audit Manager and Turkey Projects Manager at Atatürk Airport.

In July 2019, he was appointed as the General Manager of Istgüven Istanbul Güvenlik A.Ş., a subsidiary company of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and resigned from this position on December 18, 2023.

Some of the board duties he has performed include the Presidency of the Strategic Working Group, the Presidency of the Disciplinary Board, the Presidency of the Advisory Board, the Vice Presidency of Social Policies, the Coordinator of Corporate Structure and the Member of the Security Research Supervision Unit.
