Tuncay KESER, Member
He was born in Sinop in 1972 where he also completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated from the Department of Radio and Television of the School of Press and Broadcasting at Gazi University in 1992. The same year, he started journalistic career at Anka Agency. Until 2002, he worked as a correspondent on the issue of education in general, and later on focused his profession on the affairs and policies of the Prime Ministry, Turkish Grand National Assembly and the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
During this period, he became a member of the Turkish Journalists Union (TGS) and took on responsibilities as a TGS workplace representative, general assembly delegate and Ankara Branch Board member.
In 2002, he became the Press and Public Relations Advisor of the Ministry of National Education. After this duty, he worked as an advisor to parliamentarians in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In November 2017, he was appointed as the Republican’s People Party (CHP) Group Press Advisor at the Turkish Parliament.
He attended various courses and seminars on parliamentary law, political communication, media, education and public relations and carried out studies on such issues.
He is a member of the Contemporary Journalists Association and the Journalists' Society.
Tuncay KESER, who is married to Banu Salman KESER, is the father of Onat Ilgaz KESER.
He was elected as a member of the Radio and Television Supreme Council following of the election held at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 6th of April 2023 from the quota of the Republican People's Party.
