RTÜK Delegation Attends the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Digital Broadcasting Symposium
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Digital Broadcasting Symposium (DBS) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from March 30 to April 2, 2026.
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) was represented at ABU DBS 2026 by Supreme Council Members Hasan Davulcu, Orhan Özdemir, and Tuncay Keser.
ABU DBS 2026 was held under the theme “The Rising Synthetic Era.” The symposium symbolizes the new era of broadcasting shaped by the rise of creative technologies.
The symposium began with workshops held on March 30, 2026. During these sessions, industry representatives shared the challenges they face in the “synthetic era” and presented the innovative solutions they have developed to address them.
The sessions held between March 31 and April 2, 2026, focused on the widespread integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the broadcasting sector. In this context, industry representatives examined a wide range of topics, including the use of AI in news production, OTT (Over-the-Top) applications, data storage and cybersecurity, digital broadcasting, and the utilization of 5G technology in broadcast transmission.
The RTÜK delegation also paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Emir Salim Yüksel, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Kuala Lumpur.
